“ Tom Bergin's knows how to throw a party. Especially on St. Patrick's Day. The place was packed before mid morning. DJ was playing, food and green beer were flowing, happy people everywhere. I've only been here on St Patrick's Day. Would love to come back during regular hours. But day drinking for the win always! ”
“ The venue has a charming atmosphere with good vibes. There are booths and tables surrounding the bar, as well as additional seating towards the back of the pub. Outdoor seating is available in the parking lot. My friend and I each ordered cocktails, priced at $15, which were well-crafted and not overly diluted with ice. We tried the Old Fashion and Tangerine Dream. The bartender and servers were friendly. We also ordered Brussels sprouts with sweet potatoes, and it was delicious. The music added to the enjoyable ambiance. A friendly and adorable Corgi was wandering around wearing a Christmas collar. Overall, we had a fantastic time! ”
“ What a cute Irish pub. From the decor and the menu, it is simple and nice. I loved the hot apple cider with Irish gin and that sherperd's pie was amazing. Also, love that this place is so dog friendly. Just cozy and warm. This place is good for a casual date, drinks or meal with friends of 3 to 10! ”
“ Old school since 1936. This is where we stop to grab a beer before heading to the Academy movie theatre up the street. This bar is never empty no matter what day of the week we are here. The service is always great and the interior is old world Europe. They have televisions so you can watch any of the big games of the day. ”
“ Celebrated here for St. Patty's day and it was a lot of FUN. The beers kept flowing, the music was solid, and security was doing a great job. I say that because we all know that as the beer flows people can get a bit obnoxious, but the security kept things running smoothly. NOW, with that said, I will say it was CRAZY crowded, and they weren't serving their regular food menu. Which was a bummer because that's what I wanted to try. But the drinks were a lot fun and the staff of bartenders were all professional and quick. Would recommend if you're looking for a place for St. Patty's Day. Just get there early as it fills up quick and it can be hard to find seating inside or outside. ”
“ My friends and I have made Monday night trivia at Tom Bergin's a weekly tradition (shoutout Best Coast Media). Great environment and fun energy. Of course we get a bucket of Hamm's and fries every week. All the employee's are so friendly! And we are so popular now that we've won Tom Bergin's bucket hats! Would recommend! -Annah (Member of "Hammerica Has a Problem") ”
“ I was a little worried going here because I've always known Irish Pubs to be bigger on drinking than eating and I'm no drinker, and I feel I don't look like the typical patron. Also, we didn't have reservations. Shockingly, after finding one of a few actual eating tables inside (all were taken outside - yet not many people were eating?) we sat and ordered. Ordering: You have to get up from your table and order from the humongous bar which we didn't know. We sat for a while before realizing this. Wait time: 5/5 Despite the business of the bar, our food came out fairly quickly. Facility: 4/5: what you'd expect from an old Irish Pub in the middle of the city. Bricks and dark wood. There are a few tables outside where they have live bands playing. Parking was a bit of a challenge. We had to cross busy Fairfax. 5/5: Service: everyone was nice to us. Even the owners dog stopped by inside to say "hi". Food: 5/5! Everything we ordered was super fresh and tasty! 5/5: The fried chicken sandwich with honey sriracha was insanely good. It was seasoned to perfection and the texture was . 5/5: Tri-tip (only on Sunday) 5/5: Mac n Cheese 5/5: Pretzel bites 5/5: Sweet potato fries The only disappointment is they were out of the Shepard Pie but we must go back again and try it. We will be back - especially if we're visiting one of the city's famous museums. ”
